On Sunday 7 July 2019, we had our new Rotary year’s first fellowship led by President Pornchai Wessatada and organized by Fellowship Deputy Director Rtn. Nicolas Reschke. 33 members and their families were gathered at 10 a.m. at River City Bangkok to see “From Monet to Kandinsky” and “Art
for Everyone” exhibitions followed by a lovely Italian lunch at Giorgio, Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel.

Rtn Vongthip Chumpani sold two more paintings to Rtn Surah Shewaruksakul on this last day of the exhibition. Rtn Vongthip sold altogether 6 paintings for 73,000 Baht of which 60% for Rotary Club of
Bangkok and 20% for Red Cross and 20% for River City.

About “From Monet to Kandinsky” Exhibition
Show: from 26 April to 31 July 2019, at River City Bangkok

The exhibition «From Monet to Kandinsky. Visions Alive» presents the works of 16 most reputable masters of modernism in a unique combination of animated video projections accompanied by music.

Acclaimed internationally, this cutting-edge multimedia exhibition includes Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, Paul Gaugin, Henri Rousseau, Henri Toulouse-Lautrec, Gustav Klimt, Paul Signac, Piet Mondrian, Amedeo Modigliani, Vincent van Gogh, Pierre August Renoir, Juan Gris, Paul Klee, Edward
Munch, Kazimir Malevich, and Wassily Kandinsky.

The exhibition features over 40 projectors showing the art works of 16 artists using multi-media visible in 360-degree on the 3-meter height walls of 2 auditorium rooms with light and sound of classical music background. The show takes around 1 hour.

About “Art for Everyone” Exhibition
Show: from 20 June to 7 July 2019

This exhibition is the third year to show the works from amateur artists to the public.

Rtn. Vongthip Chumpani initiated this charitable project with the cooperation from PP Linda Cheng, Managing Director of River City Bangkok. Part for the proceeds from six paintings of Rtn. Vongthip
Chumpani’s and one painting from Associate Professor Piyanan Prasarnrajkit, daughter of PP Professor Ananta Krukeo, will be donated to Rotary Club of Bangkok for charity projects.
