Dear Fellow Rotarians & Friends,

I am greatly honored to serve as Club President of the Rotary Club of Bangkok. Thank you so much for coming to our Gala Dinner of the Installation night on 27 June 2019. I hope you enjoyed it. I also wish you will extend your good support to the club throughout the Rotary year.

With this year’s theme, ‘Rotary Connects the World’, I would like to invite our members to connect together at our club’s weekly meetings. We will choose interesting guest speakers and topics for our regular weekly club meeting. The last Thursday of every month is a fellowship event with good wine, and a time to celebrate birthdays of club members.

In July, the fellowship team will organize the first program, “Art tour with lunch” at River City Bangkok on Sunday 7 July 2019 from 10AM. Please join us on this extra event.

The Rotary year begins with 87 members, 18 nationalities. 80% of our members are over 50 years of age, and 20% are between the ages of 30-40. The average age of our members is 61, and the average number of years in Rotary is 12. On the gender balance – we have 23% female members. We will try to increase our membership to 90 members, have a better gender balance and also add younger members to our club.

As usual, in July you will be asked if you would like to be wine sole sponsor of the month at 5,400 Baht (or 1,800 Baht each for 3 joint sponsors). You will also have the opportunity to be a bulletin sole sponsor of the month at 1,600 Baht (or 800 Baht each for 2 joint sponsors). Your kind generosity is highly appreciated.

You will also be asked if you wish to donate to the Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) of The Rotary Foundation (TRF). You can donate 1,000 USD or any amount you want above or below that. The fund will be used for good charity causes around the world. Donations to TRF may be made to the Annual Fund, the District Designated Fund, or to the Polio Plus fund.
