– Graduated from University of Sydney 1964 (Bachelor of Arts majoring in Education and Economics)
– Short time as lecturer at Chulalongkorn University
– Public Relations and Sales Manager, Siam Intercontinental Hotel (1985 – 1987 )
– Introduced the first credit card company to Thailand…. Diners Club (Thailand) and was the Managing Director and remained on the Board until 1987 when it was sold to Citibank
– President, Thai Environment and Community Development Association ..
Created the Magic Eyes Program (1984 to present)
– Elected Senator to Thai Parliament (2000 – 2006)
– Board Member, Queen’s Gallery (2003 to present)
– Chairperson and creator of Thai School of Excellence Project, a program to train teachers to teach in the Child Centered way… already trained over 60 schools, and over 1,200 teachers working with the BMA schools

– Director and Manager, Chin Sophonpanich Foundation . (1983 to present) . One of the programs is to give full scholarships to medical and nursing students who live in the provinces nearby, and studying at Provincial Universities,to help the shortage of medical personel in the provinces. Already funding 250 medical students, and 450 nurses.
– Chairman, Junior Achievements Thailand (2012 to present) and Board member, Junior Achievements Asia Pacific (2014 to present)
– President, Asia Pacific Bridge Federation ( 1989 to present)

4 children 3 boys, 1 girl from ages 40-46
6 grandchildren.. 3 boys, 3 girls ages 4 – 14.

Hobby… Competition bridge. Gold medal Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) 2011 and now selected on the Thailand national team (in the Mixed Team category), Asian Games 2018 in August in Jakarta (probably the oldest competitor !!)
