The “Training to improve the lives of children with cerebral palsy in Phetchabun” was a three weeks training during 25 February to 16 March 2018 that took place at Phetchabun Special Education Center.

There were three physiotherapists, seven special education teachers, ten parents/caregivers, and ten cerebral palsy children that attended. Following this course, the center has organized two internal trainings to share the knowledge and techniques they learned to the rest of their members.

During the third week of May this year, PP Santi and Rtn Vasana accompanied the therapists to follow up on the performance of three parents and their children at their houses.

Then on 16 November 2018, P Maleeratana, PP Dr Urs and his Ann, PP Chamnong, PP Jan , Rtn Rambha, Rtn Dr Lalitta, and Rtn Vasana visited Bung Sam Pan Center for an evaluation trip. We invited four parents and their CP children to the center. The therapists, special education teachers and parents had performed the Peto techniques that they have learnt to the children. Their performance was observed by the pediatrician, Dr Sutthathip Chadbutra from the hospital in Phetchabun, and RCB members.

The pediatrician’s comment about the effect of this training to the lives of these children will be included in our final report which will be completed and sent to the Rotary International Foundation soon by PP Jan Van Eyndhoven.
